My Gmail or Outlook connection broke

Reconnect from Settings, why connections break, Google/Microsoft permission steps, retry sends.

At a glance: If threads stop syncing, sends start failing, or you see a Reconnect banner in Settings, the email connection has expired or been revoked. Most fixes are a one‑click reconnect from Settings → Email. If that doesn’t hold, the usual culprits are removed Google/Microsoft permissions, a password change, or your provider’s security policies.

Reconnect from Settings

Open Settings → Email. Each connected mailbox shows its status. A broken connection has a Reconnect button—click it and finish the provider’s sign-in in the popup. The status flips back to Connected when the new tokens are in place.

Why connections break

  • Token expired—long-idle accounts can expire if we couldn’t refresh in time.

  • Permissions revoked—someone removed SeeVee’s access from Google or Microsoft account settings.

  • Password changed—password resets often invalidate connected apps.

  • Workspace policy—a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 admin restricted third-party apps.

Google: verify SeeVee is allowed

  1. Look for SeeVee. If missing, the reconnect will re-add it.

  2. If present with limited scopes, click Remove access then reconnect from SeeVee with a fresh consent screen.

Microsoft / Outlook: verify SeeVee is allowed

  1. Sign in at account.microsoft.comPrivacyApps and services.

  2. Find SeeVee and either remove and re-grant, or simply reconnect from SeeVee.

  3. If your account is managed by an admin (work or school), reconnect from a private window first—if the dialog asks for admin approval, your IT team needs to allow the app.

Sending failed: how to retry

If a send fails after the connection looks healthy, open the failed message in Tasks—we keep the draft and let you retry with Send. If the same retry keeps failing, the underlying issue is usually with the connection: reconnect and try again.

What stays / what doesn’t

Disconnecting and reconnecting doesn’t delete your Threads, Outreach Plans, or Runs—they persist on SeeVee. A fresh sync may take a few minutes to catch up on the most recent messages.
