At a glance: First-time setup is a step-by-step wizard with many screens: resume and search basics first, then more profile and preference questions, then optional background questions, and finally an access step where you can start a plan or continue without upgrading. Your answers are saved as you go. When you finish, you’re taken to Jobs. If you already completed setup, signing in sends you straight to Jobs.
How to move through it
Use Next (or the flow’s primary action) to advance. You don’t have to perfect every answer on the first pass—many preferences can be updated later under Settings (for example job search fields, disclosure, and documents).
What the phases cover
Early steps focus on what we need to start finding roles for you—resume, where you work, titles you want, work style, and relocation. Later steps add depth: goals, compensation range, contact details, professional links, languages, work authorization, and optional survey-style questions. The exact labels stay in the product so they always match what you see.
If you get sent to Jobs without the wizard
That usually means your account already finished onboarding. Use Settings to change preferences anytime.
