Why my job feed looks empty or stale

Onboarding check, widen Settings, update Resume, give matching a moment, when to email support.

At a glance: A thin or unchanging Jobs feed is almost always one of four things: onboarding isn’t complete, your Settings (titles, location, work style) are too narrow, your Resume doesn’t carry enough signal, or matches are still loading in the background. Most fixes take under a minute and the feed catches up the next time we refresh.

1. Check onboarding

Background matching kicks off after the early onboarding steps—through the relocation question. If you stopped partway through, finish onboarding from the Get started prompt or the banner at the top of Jobs. See Your first‑time setup walkthrough.

2. Widen your settings

Open Settings → Job Search and review:

  • Job titles—we use these as the strongest signal. Add common variants and adjacent titles (e.g. “Product Designer”, “UX Designer”, “Senior Product Designer”).

  • Locations—if everything is set to one city with no remote, the feed will be thin.

  • Work style—Remote/Hybrid/On‑site filters can dramatically change volume.

  • Disclosure preferences—if you set very strict disclosures we sometimes hide roles where the employer can’t honor them.

Save the page and use Refresh on Jobs. See Update job search and disclosure preferences.

3. Update your Resume

The Resume is the second-strongest signal. A sparse or generic resume produces a sparse feed. Re-upload a fuller copy or update Highlights and Experience directly in SeeVee, then refresh. See Build your professional profile and upload a resume.

4. Give matching a moment

If you just changed Settings or Resume, the feed updates as new matches roll through. Most users see the list visibly shift within a few minutes. The Refresh button at the top of Jobs forces an immediate sync.

“I’ve seen all my jobs”

Volume drops naturally as you scan through the list. The default sort is New—change to Date or Fit to see jobs you may have skipped. Archived and dismissed jobs aren’t shown back to you, by design.

When to email support

If onboarding is complete, your Settings are reasonably wide, your Resume is current, and the feed is still empty for a day or more, write to [email protected] with your account email and a screenshot. We can check the matching job for your account directly.
