The Chrome extension isn't surfacing contacts on a job post

Quick checks, missing popup, stuck loading, site coverage, when to email support.

At a glance: If the SeeVee Chrome extension shows the posting but no contacts, the most common reasons are: you’re signed out, the company isn’t yet in our directory, the page hasn’t finished rendering, or you’re on a posting type the extension can’t fully parse. Most issues clear with a sign-in check and a page refresh.

Quick checks (in order)

  1. Are you signed in? Click the extension icon. If it shows a sign-in prompt, sign in—signing into seevee.com in a tab also works.

  2. Refresh the job page. Some sites finish their DOM after the initial load and the extension misses the first paint.

  3. Try the same posting on the company’s ATS. If the job is on LinkedIn, click through to the original Greenhouse / Lever / Ashby / Workday page—we have richer extractors for ATS pages.

  4. Open the job in SeeVee. If contacts are missing in the app too, the issue is upstream (the company isn’t in our directory yet)—use Network → Search to trigger discovery against the company URL.

When the extension shows the job but no people

That usually means we recognized the company but don’t have enough confirmed contacts to surface. Two follow-ups:

  • Network → Search on the same company URL and job title. Discovery there often fills the directory back into the extension on the next refresh.

  • Open the company’s profile in SeeVee and click Find contacts on the page—same effect.

The popup is missing entirely

  • The extension icon may not be pinned. Click the puzzle icon next to Chrome’s address bar and pin SeeVee.

  • Some browsers (Arc, Brave) hide extension popups on certain sites. The keyboard shortcut path is chrome://extensions → SeeVee → Details → check it’s allowed on the site.

The popup is there but stuck loading

  • Sign out of the extension (its menu) and sign back in—token refresh is the fix more often than not.

  • Open chrome://extensions → toggle SeeVee off and on. This restarts the background worker.

  • Try an Incognito window with the extension enabled to isolate page-specific blockers.

It works on some sites but not others

That’s expected. The extension is strongest on LinkedIn, common ATS portals, and company careers pages. Highly custom pages (staffing agencies, recruiter platforms with their own framework) may capture only the URL and title—use the SeeVee app for contact discovery on those.

When to email support

If you’ve done the quick checks and the popup still won’t load for any job, send [email protected] the extension version (from chrome://extensions), the URL of the job page, and a screenshot. Our team can repro and patch the extractor when a site changes.
