What your fit score means

Match signal, fit breakdown, resume and settings, pending score state.

At a glance: Your fit score is a quick signal for how well a role lines up with you—your experience, skills, and what you’ve shared in SeeVee. Open the job to see why it scored that way. Updating your resume and search settings helps scores stay relevant. A loading state on the score just means we’re still calculating—normal for new listings.

What the score is for

The fit score helps you prioritize when you have many options. It isn’t a judgment on you—it’s a match hint between the job and your profile so you can spend time on roles that fit your direction.

See the “why”

On the job detail panel, you can open a fit breakdown that explains what drove the score in plain language—things like alignment with your titles, skills, or experience. Use it to decide whether to dig deeper or move on.

Improving fit over time

Scores reflect what we know about you right now. When you refresh your Resume or tighten your job search settings (roles, location, work style, goals), future scores can shift to match the new you.

When the score isn’t there yet

Sometimes you’ll see a pending or loading state instead of a number. That usually means we’re still processing the match for that listing. Check back after a short wait—the score should appear once it’s ready.
