At a glance: Outreach is where you follow up on jobs by email—see your conversations, run multi-step follow-up sequences, and handle to-dos when something needs your OK before it sends. Connect your email in Settings so messages sync and you can send from the app.
Three ideas that help everything click
1. Threads — your conversations
Each thread is an email conversation tied to a job when we can match it. You’ll see things like whether you’ve sent a message, they replied, or the message bounced. Labels help you spot what kind of reply you got (for example a scheduling request or a no).
2. Plans — your follow-up recipe
An outreach plan is a template: a list of steps you might repeat for many people (an intro email, a LinkedIn connection step, then follow-up emails). Our default plans use that same shape, with the follow-ups sent as replies in the same email thread so the conversation stays together. You set plans up under Outreach → Outreach Plans.
3. Runs — one person, one job, happening now
When you start outreach for someone on a job, we start a run—that’s one live version of your plan for that person. You can have many runs going at once, all using the same plan.
Where does the work show up?
Often you’ll do the next step on the Tasks page—especially when we need you to read or edit an email before it goes out, or to complete something on LinkedIn. After you start a sequence, check Tasks for what to do next.
The three tabs under Outreach
Threads — Read and reply; see what needs attention.
Outreach Plans — Build or edit your step-by-step templates.
Runs — See what’s in progress, waiting, finished, or stopped for each sequence you started.
What “Action needed” means
We flag threads where the latest message usually expects a reply from you—things like interview invites, homework or assessments, offers, or questions. You can filter the list to focus on those. Sometimes we also add a task on your Tasks page so you don’t miss it.
Before you get started
Link your email account in Settings. Without it, you won’t get the full picture for tracking and sending.
