At a glance: Tasks is your inbox for things that need your attention—especially before an email sends or when someone expects a reply. Use the Pending tab for what’s open and Completed for what you’ve already cleared. Tasks can come from outreach sequences, email-related signals, or ones you add yourself. You may also see a count of pending tasks in the app so nothing important slips by.
Pending vs completed
Pending lists work that still needs you—review a draft, answer a question, or finish a step. When you’re done, the task moves to Completed so you can look back without cluttering your active list.
Where tasks come from
Outreach — Steps from follow-up sequences you started (for example when a plan needs you to approve or edit an email before it goes out).
Email — Items tied to your connected inbox, such as when a conversation looks like it needs a reply.
Custom — Tasks you create with Add Task for your own reminders.
How this connects to Outreach
Many high-impact tasks show up when you’re using Outreach and email follow-ups. For how plans create tasks and how approval works, see How follow-up emails work and Review emails before they go out.
