Applying and Campaign Creation

Updated over 2 months ago

Campaigns in SeeVee are built around a single job pursuit.

They exist to organize everything you do for a role, including applying, outreach, and preparation. Sequences handle outreach, but campaigns are the container that keeps it all connected.

How Campaigns Are Created

A campaign is created when you start pursuing a job.

This can happen in two ways:

  • You apply to a job through SeeVee

  • You begin organizing outreach for a job by revealing the hiring team or adding context manually

In both cases, the campaign becomes the central place where your effort for that role lives.

Applying to a Job

Applying in the traditional sense is still best practice.

When you apply to a job:

  • A campaign is created for that role

  • Your application becomes part of the campaign

  • You can immediately begin outreach by enrolling people into sequences

  • All future activity related to that role is tracked in one place

Applying ensures you are visible in the company’s normal hiring process while outreach increases your chances of being noticed.

Starting Outreach Before Applying

You can begin outreach before completing your application.

If you do, SeeVee will automatically create a task reminding you to finish your application. This exists to keep your outreach aligned with the hiring process.

Outreach without an application often creates friction for hiring teams, since they may not be able to easily find your profile. Applying early removes that friction.

Campaigns vs Sequences

It is important to understand the distinction.

  • Campaigns organize everything related to one job

  • Sequences are used to outreach specific people

You do not add people to a campaign directly. You add people to a sequence that lives inside a campaign. The campaign then tracks all resulting activity.

Adding Context Without Applying

In some cases, you may want to create a campaign before applying by adding job context manually.

This might happen if:

  • You are waiting on a referral

  • The role is not yet public

  • You want to prepare outreach before submitting

You can still apply later, and the application will be added to the existing campaign.

Finding Your Campaigns

All campaigns live on the Campaigns page.

From there, you can open a campaign to:

  • Review your application status

  • Enroll people into sequences

  • Track outreach and responses

  • Access the hiring brief and hiring team

  • See your full activity history

Each campaign maps to exactly one job. If you pursue multiple roles at the same company, each role will have its own campaign.

Best Practices

  • Always apply when you are actively pursuing a role

  • Use outreach to support your application, not replace it

  • Think of campaigns as your source of truth for each job

  • Use sequences intentionally rather than enrolling everyone at once
