Emails are one of the primary task types used in sequences.

They allow you to reach hiring teams directly while keeping outreach organized and trackable inside a campaign.


How Emails Work in SeeVee

Emails are created as tasks when someone is added to a sequence.

Each email:

  • Belongs to a specific person

  • Runs as part of a sequence

  • Is tracked under the campaign for that job

Campaigns do not send emails themselves. Sequences do.


Automated Emails

Automated emails are sent automatically once their task timer is reached.

These are best used for messages you are comfortable sending without review, such as simple follow ups or previously approved templates.

When the scheduled time arrives, the email is sent and logged automatically.


Manual Emails

Manual emails require your approval before sending.

When a manual email task becomes active, you can review the draft, make edits if needed, and then send it.

Manual emails are strongly recommended for AI generated messages. This gives you a chance to confirm accuracy, tone, and relevance before anything goes out.


AI Generated Email Drafts

SeeVee can generate email drafts using:

  • Job description context

  • Company information

  • Hiring team details

  • Your background and resume

AI drafts are meant to save time, not replace judgment.

Best practices include:

  • Always reviewing AI generated drafts

  • Keeping messages short and specific

  • Adjusting language to match your voice


Variables in Emails

Emails support variables that personalize content automatically.

Variables can insert information such as:

  • Name

  • Company

  • Job title

  • Role specific context

Some variables trigger AI generated content, while others insert known data. Variables are covered in more detail in a separate article.


Mailbox Connection and Tracking

To send and track emails, you must connect your mailbox to SeeVee.

Once connected, SeeVee automatically tracks:

  • Sent emails

  • Replies

  • Ongoing conversation activity related to campaigns

Replies are tracked even if they happen outside the platform.


What Happens When Someone Replies

When a hiring team member replies to an email:

  • The sequence ends for that person

  • Remaining email and LinkedIn tasks stop

  • The campaign status updates automatically

You then continue the conversation directly, outside of automated outreach.
