LinkedIn Tasks

Updated over 2 months ago

LinkedIn tasks are manual actions that live inside sequences.

They are designed to create visibility, warm up outreach, and support email communication around a job opportunity. Because LinkedIn does not allow direct integrations, all LinkedIn tasks must be completed by you.

SeeVee guides the action and generates suggested messages, but you take the final step on LinkedIn.

How LinkedIn Tasks Work

LinkedIn tasks are created when a person is added to a sequence.

Each LinkedIn task:

  • Is tied to a specific person

  • Runs as part of a sequence

  • Appears as a manual task for you to complete

  • Is tracked under the campaign for that job

Completing the task allows the sequence to continue.

Why LinkedIn Tasks Matter

Not all outreach should start with a direct message.

LinkedIn tasks help you:

  • Increase name recognition

  • Create light touchpoints before emailing

  • Show interest without asking for anything

  • Support email outreach with social visibility

Used well, LinkedIn outreach often improves response rates without increasing pressure.

LinkedIn Task Types

LinkedIn Connection

This task prompts you to send a connection request.

  • May include an optional connection message

  • Message is generated for you

  • You manually send the request on LinkedIn

Connection requests work best when they are short, relevant, and not overly promotional.

LinkedIn Message

This task prompts you to send a direct LinkedIn message.

  • Includes a generated message

  • Only applies if you are already connected

  • Uses a copy and paste workflow

This is often used after a connection is accepted or as a follow up to earlier visibility.

View Profile

This task prompts you to view someone’s LinkedIn profile.

In some cases, viewing a profile triggers a LinkedIn notification. This creates passive visibility without sending a message.

Profile views are commonly used early in a sequence.

Interact With Post

This task prompts you to interact with a recent LinkedIn post.

This can include liking or leaving a thoughtful comment. Interacting with posts is one of the most effective ways to stand out naturally.

It signals interest and engagement without pitching.

Completing LinkedIn Tasks

When a LinkedIn task becomes active:

  1. Review the suggested action or message

  2. Copy any generated text if applicable

  3. Complete the action on LinkedIn

  4. Mark the task as complete in SeeVee

Once completed, the sequence continues based on its timing rules.

Best Practices

  • Use profile views and post interactions before direct messaging

  • Keep messages short and specific

  • Avoid pitching early in the sequence

  • Let the sequence guide pacing rather than rushing outreach

LinkedIn tasks work best as part of a thoughtful sequence, not as one off actions.

Why LinkedIn Tasks Exist

LinkedIn tasks are not automation. They are intention.

They help you approach hiring teams in a way that feels human, visible, and respectful while keeping everything organized inside a campaign.
